White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

1 egg, beaten

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce and tomato slices for serving

Optional: Olive oil for grilling

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped spinach, and shredded white cheddar cheese.

    Add the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and beaten egg to the mixture.

      Using your hands, mix everything together until well combined, but don’t overmix to keep the burgers tender.

        Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into burger patties.

          Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. If desired, brush the grill with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

            Cook the chicken burgers on the grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are nicely browned.

              If using, place burger buns on the grill for the last 1-2 minutes to toast lightly.

                Serve the burgers on toasted buns, topped with lettuce and tomato slices. Enjoy your delicious and cheesy chicken burgers!
