Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Hamburger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and avocado (for toppings)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.

Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown.

While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns in a separate pan or on a grill.

Once the patties are done, assemble your burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and avocado. Add the top half of the bun to complete the burger.

Serve immediately and enjoy the cheesy, spinchy delight of your White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
