Ingredients

3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

3 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Fruit: In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and peaches. Add the granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss gently to mix. Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Make the Crisp Topping: In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together. Pour in the melted butter and stir until well combined. The mixture should be crumbly.

Assemble the Crisp: Evenly distribute the crisp topping over the fruit mixture in the baking dish, ensuring it covers the fruit completely.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.

Cool and Serve: Allow the crisp to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
