Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked and crumbled sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Roll Out the Dough: On a clean surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.

Fill the Dough: Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wider end of each triangle.

Roll Up the Crescents: Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle up towards the point, gently pinching the edges to seal them tightly. This will help keep the filling inside while baking.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
