Ingredients

4 large bell peppers (any color)

1 pound ground beef or thinly sliced sirloin steak

1 medium onion, diced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup Italian cheese blend, shredded

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Peppers: Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Place them upright in a baking dish.

      Cook the Filling:

        - In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or sliced steak. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

          - Add the diced onion and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are softened, about 3-5 minutes more.

            - Stir in the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Mix in the Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and add the cream cheese and provolone cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and combined into the meat mixture.

Fill the Peppers: Spoon the cheesesteak mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the Italian cheese blend generously on top of each stuffed pepper.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the peppers from the oven, let them cool slightly, then garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm.
