Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Ice cream or whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to foam.

Add the sliced bananas to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften and turn golden brown, flipping them gently halfway through.

Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the bananas, then drizzle the vanilla extract and add a pinch of salt. Stir carefully to coat the bananas evenly and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sugar is melted and caramelized.

Remove the skillet from heat and let the bananas cool slightly.

Serve warm on a plate, drizzled with the pan juices. Top with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream if desired, and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
