Ingredients

12 phyllo pastry cups (store-bought)

1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup corn syrup

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Pinch of salt

Whipped cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

Add Pecans: Fold in the chopped pecans until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.

Fill Phyllo Cups: Place the phyllo cups on a baking tray. Carefully spoon the pecan filling into each cup, filling them about 3/4 full to allow space for the filling to expand while baking.

Bake: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is set and the tops are slightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
