Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef or turkey

1 medium onion, diced

4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1 cup diced fresh jalapeños (seeds removed for less heat)

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro or green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef (or turkey) and diced onion. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Mix the Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked meat mixture into the cheese filling and stir until everything is well combined.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until smooth. Season with a bit more salt and pepper.

Assemble the Casserole: Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Spread the meat and cheese mixture evenly in the bottom. Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring it covers the entire surface.

Add Remaining Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top of the casserole.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden, and the eggs are set.

Cool and Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions, if desired.
