8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

4 slices of artisanal bread (like sourdough or ciabatta)

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 tbsp olive oil

1 ripe tomato, sliced

Fresh basil leaves

Balsamic glaze (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Bread: Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will create a golden and crispy crust when grilled.

    Layer the Ingredients: On the unbuttered side of two slices of bread, layer fresh mozzarella slices, followed by tomato slices, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and a few fresh basil leaves. If you're feeling adventurous, drizzle a bit of balsamic glaze on top to enhance the flavor.

      Top It Off: Place the other two slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out, to create two sandwiches.

        Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Let it heat for about 1-2 minutes until shimmering.
