Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup dulce de leche

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

A pinch of sea salt

2 tablespoons milk (optional for consistency)

Grated chocolate or caramel sauce for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to overwhip.

Mix the Base: In another bowl, combine the dulce de leche, softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and a pinch of sea salt. If the mixture feels too thick, add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach a smooth consistency.

Combine Mixtures: Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into the dulce de leche mixture to lighten it. Once combined, carefully fold in the remaining whipped cream using a spatula to keep the mousse airy.

Chill: Spoon the mousse mixture into serving glasses or bowls. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mousse is set.

Garnish and Serve: Just before serving, garnish with grated chocolate or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired. Enjoy this light and creamy treat!
