Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chocolate frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.

Cool: Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frost Cookies: Once cooled, generously pipe a swirl of chocolate frosting on top of each cookie. You can use a piping bag for a nice design or simply spread a dollop with a knife.

Serve & Enjoy: Enjoy your Crumbl Chocolate Cake Cookies warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
