Ingredients

1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)

1 large egg

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 teaspoon lime juice

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into 1-inch bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, whisk the egg. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

Bread the Salmon: Dip each salmon piece first in flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it into the egg until fully coated, then finally roll it in the breadcrumbs until evenly coated.

Cook the Salmon Bites: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the salmon bites in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan; work in batches if necessary. Transfer cooked bites to a plate lined with paper towels.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, and lime juice. Stir until well combined and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Coat the Bites: Once the salmon bites are cooked, pour the honey garlic sauce over them and gently toss to coat evenly.

Serve: Transfer the coated salmon bites to a serving platter, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
