Ingredients

8 oz penne pasta

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced

2 cups broccoli florets

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Penne: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent.

Add Broccoli: Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and continue to sauté for about 4 minutes until they are bright green and tender but still crisp.

Make the Cream Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained penne pasta. Toss everything together to coat in the creamy sauce. If it’s too thick, stir in a little pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious creamy broccoli and chicken penne!
