2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup milk

1 large egg

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for filling)

2 tablespoons melted butter (for filling)

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough is just combined and smooth.

    Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it gently for about 2-3 minutes, until the dough is slightly elastic. Cover with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.

      Roll Out the Dough: Begin rolling the dough into a rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick.

        Make the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Mix until it forms a thick paste.

          Spread the Filling: Evenly spread the cinnamon filling over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

            Roll the Dough: Carefully roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, forming a log. Pinch the edges to seal and cut into 1-inch thick slices.

              Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

                Arrange the Swirls: Place the dough slices in the prepared baking dish, giving them space to rise and expand while baking.

                  Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
