Chicken Fajita Wraps

Ingredients
  

2 large chicken breasts, sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 large flour tortillas

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1 cup fresh salsa

½ cup sour cream

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine sliced chicken, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.

    Cook Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken slices and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized.

        Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir to combine and heat for another minute.

          Assemble Wraps: Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the chicken and veggie mixture among the tortillas. Sprinkle cheese on top and add a spoonful of fresh salsa and sour cream.

            Wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

              Serve: Cut in half for easier eating, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve with extra salsa on the side.
