Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup water

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

Cooking spray or olive oil

Salsa and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Season the Meat: Add taco seasoning and water to the meat, stirring well. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a floured surface.

Assemble the Taco Sticks: On each crescent triangle, lay down a spoonful of the seasoned meat mixture. Top it with a mix of cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, diced tomatoes, olives (if using), and green onions.

Roll Them Up: Roll the crescent dough starting from the wide end towards the point, wrapping filling securely inside.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled taco sticks on a greased baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart. Lightly spray or brush the tops with olive oil.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Serve: Let them cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
