Ingredients

4 slices of sourdough bread

8 oz cooked turkey breast, sliced

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

4 slices of crispy bacon

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon butter, softened

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh arugula or spinach (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Spread: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat the Pan: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Spread the Mixture: Spread the mayo-mustard mixture evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

Assemble the Sandwich: On the unspread side of two pieces of bread, layer the sliced turkey, crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese. If desired, add fresh arugula or spinach for added freshness.

Top with Bread: Place another slice of sourdough on each sandwich, mayo-side up.

Butter the Bread: Spread a thin layer of softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich.

Cook the Sandwich: Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt. Flip the sandwiches and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes.

Serve and Enjoy: Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet. Let cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve hot.
