Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)

1 cup toffee bits (like Heath pieces)

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream the Butters: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Eggs & Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix Dry into Wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in Add-Ins: Gently fold in the chopped nuts, toffee bits, and chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Shape the Cookies: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Sprinkle with Sea Salt: Before baking, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cookie dough ball for added flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set but still soft.

Cool Down: Remove cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
